From 2004 to 2017, I was a writer/editor, contributing to a variety of publications both on and offline. I write about subjects as diverse as arts and crafts, marketing and business development and in a variety of styles. I write both under my own name and as a ghost writer.

Part of being a successful online writer is knowing how to balance the needs of the writer with the need to be found by search engines.

While the demise of SEO is often reported, the reality is, for content we want people to find online, SEO is as relevant today as it always was. The big difference is that now SEO is just part of the traffic generating mix. Therefore, as a writer, crafting copy that is relevant for the reader as well as being optimized for SEO is an inherrent part of the role. I am fortunate to have had frequent and regular training to keep up with latest SEO best practice.
