Kate's new book
Kate Pullen has combined her passions for textile arts, with her knowledge of jewellery making to create an exciting range of knitted and crocheted jewellery.
Kate's first book, Wire Jewellery to Knit and Crochet, will be published later this year by GMC Publications.
Crocheted silver jewellery and other crafts
By combining techniques such as crochet and knitting with precious metal wires, gemstone and glass beads, highly unusual and exciting items of jewellery can be created.
Kate Pullen has developed a range of jewellery items which use a variety of techniques and materials, ranging from a simple brooch through to a hightly intricate 'tendril' tiara. These items are made to order and commissions are welcome.
Some items are heavily bead encrusted with hundreds of gemstone beads, others let the intricacy of the metal shine through, showcasing the interlocking twists of the individual stitches.
Armed only with a crochet hook or pair of knitting needles, wonderful items of jewellery can be made which are unique to the maker.
